The Ministry of Industry and Trade suggests to rise the importing tax of steel

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just announced official document to the Ministry of Finance and suggested to increase the importing tax of steel

It will be risen from the current 7% to 8% for steel plates & cold rolled, the others which is painted metal & color will also be risen 1%.

For the finished steel with the diameter from 6 to 10mm and constructive steel will be increased 5%.

However, the companies which laminate steel from import billet do not agree to this increasing import tax. The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that almost these companies have been invested since the past, up to this time the depreciation of the fixed assets is nearly finished & the profit has been collected, so it should be shared the difficult situation with billet producing companies and support using domestic billet. The above import tax is only means that copes with the current situation.
